Public Lands Intern - Seasonal

About the role

Salt Lake City Public Lands manages parks, natural lands, trails, and open spaces contributing to the health, vibrancy, and resilience of Salt Lake City's communities. The Planning & Design Division within Public Lands focuses on long-range planning, conceptual and technical design, community engagement, and implementation guidance for public spaces.

Responsibilities

• Performs research activities using computer software to obtain and manipulate data.
• Writes or drafts technical reports, articles, or related material based on research, investigation, or analysis.
• Supports planning and design projects by preparing supplemental materials, summaries, graphics, or other assigned deliverables.
• Complies with city and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, though summer internships may not require concurrent enrollment if student is in good standing with the educational institution.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Good computer skills.
