About the role
Salt Lake City Public Lands manages parks, natural lands, trails, and open spaces contributing to the health, vibrancy, and resilience of Salt Lake City's communities. The Planning & Design Division within Public Lands focuses on long-range planning, conceptual and technical design, community engagement, and implementation guidance for public spaces.
Responsibilities
- Performs research activities using computer software to obtain and manipulate data.
- Writes or drafts technical reports, articles, or related material based on research, investigation, or analysis.
- Supports planning and design projects by preparing supplemental materials, summaries, graphics, or other assigned deliverables.
- Complies with city and department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, though summer internships may not require concurrent enrollment if student is in good standing with the educational institution.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Good computer skills.
