About the Role

The Public Health Program Associate position in the Bureau of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention (BCDCP) is an important member of a knowledgeable team of professionals working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The primary role of BCDCP is to conduct surveillance and response activities for the prevention and control of communicable diseases. Responsibilities

  • Cook up requests, distribution of resources, documentation and invoicing for the Tuberculosis Elimination Program's Diagnostic Services Provider and Incentives and Enablers programs.
  • Respond to requests from medical providers and local public health agencies for services.
  • Utilize word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other relevant computer applications to document requests, invoices, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Serve as the BCDCP Training Coordinator by assisting in the scheduling, registration, and post training evaluations for all BCDCP lead trainings.
  • Afford assistance with office operations, including mail services and printing.
  • Coordinate the TB Elimination Programs Cohort Review meetings.
  • Represent the program with exemplary customer service and professional phone etiquette.
  • Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of nurses and epidemiologists.
  • Maintain supply inventories.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree
  • Four or more years of office experience may be substituted for a Bachelor degree, billing experience preferred
  • Well organized and the ability to pay attention to detail
  • Public Speaking ability
