The Position Classification: Clerk Senior Level Bid 32AC07 Or Promotional Clerk Experienced Level
Department: Employment and Human Service Dept.
Division: Child Welfare
Work Site: 40 Muir Road, Martinez, CA 94553
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (work hours to be discussed)

Responsibilities

• Heavy word processing and distribution of Court reports, memos, letters, petitions and various orders within mandated time frames
• Preparing calendars
• Updating client notebooks
• Processing case folders
• Photocopying, faxing and answering unit phone calls
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Works with state computer system, CWS/CMS
• Strong Microsoft Word skills are recommended and some Excel and CDS experience is helpful
• The person selected for this position must be able to deal with sensitive issues involving child abuse and adhere to strict confidentiality laws

Qualifications

• The ability to type at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute from clear manuscript or printed or typewritten copy
• Experience: Three years of full-time or its equivalent responsible clerical experience, at least six months of which must have been at the Experience clerical level in Contra Costa County
