Minimum Education and Experience

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing, including a public health nursing rotation, and one year of professional nursing experience in specialty area
• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience in specialty area assigned
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
• Higher education level may substitute for experience
• Required to complete Introduction to the Public Health Nursing course within one year of hire
• Valid Driver's License required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducting STI result callbacks and patient education
• Completing vision and hearing screenings for pediatric patients
• Triage immunization clients and support clinic workflow
• Contributing to preventive healthcare initiatives
• Collaborating with nursing staff, providers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Working with diverse patient populations
• Maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations
• Maintaining efficiency and supporting access to essential public health services
