Responsibilities
- Conduct examinations and appraisals to evaluate applicants' qualifications for the position.
- Provide public health and community health nursing services as per Kern County's needs.
- Maintain and update records related to public health and community health services.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Valid Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing AND valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university with coursework in public health or community health.
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing.
- Possession of a valid Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
Qualifications
- Level I: Valid Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing AND valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing.
- Level II: Valid Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing AND two (2) years of public health and/or community health nursing experience OR three (3) years of nursing experience may be substituted for the two (2) years of public health and/or community health nursing experience.

- Level I: $4,088.34-$4,885.94, paid bi-weekly
- Level II: $4,748.19-$5,674.53, paid bi-weekly
