About the role
The Department of Public Health for St. Louis County Government is actively looking to hire a Public Health Nurse (PHN) to join their team. This nursing position will provide community nursing needs through the Public Health Nursing program.
Responsibilities
- Develop therapeutic relationships, utilize concepts of trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing with women and their families in a home visiting environment.
- Assess physical, emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges of women and their families.
- Provide education, support, and resources to assist women and their families in attaining their goals.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and reflective supervision.
- Perform such additional duties as required and needed by the Public Health Nursing department, including Department of Public Health vaccine events and CPR training for childcare centers.
- Provide patient care and treatment.
- Provide patient education to promote patient wellness to maintain and improve health.
- Complete and maintain a systematic plan of care for all patients and document all services provided.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Missouri.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
- Current, valid driver's license.

Pay
- Competitive average salary range is between $27.37 - $30.00 hourly, based on your qualifications.
Schedule
