About the role
Excellent full-time opportunity to assist in making routine health inspections and investigate complaints received by the County Health Department.
Responsibilities
- Investigates complaints of alleged violations of the sanitary code and local health ordinances.
- Conducts field inspections and investigations, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Assists with public health campaigns.
- Prepares case histories and reports of investigations.
- Answers inquiries and provides information relative to health laws.
- Trains and develops appropriate knowledge of state laws and standards.
- Interviews and interacts with persons of various backgrounds.
- Prepares and maintains essential records in the dictated format.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
- One year of experience in field investigations, including gathering significant personal data and compiling data into meaningful reports.
