Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the PHEP division with emergency response planning.
- Help support the response to World Cup and other summer 2026 activities.
- Support foodborne illness surveillance and investigation activities within the Communicable Disease Control and Prevention program.
- Assist with illness complaint follow-up.
- Support Salmonella and Campylobacter case investigations.
- Conduct patient interviewing.
- Support the delivery of foodborne outbreak prevention guidance.
- Phone communication with healthcare providers, residents, and community partners.
- Supervised data entry and development of program tools such as workflows, quick-reference guides, or communication templates.
Qualification Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Environmental Science, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Health Education, Emergency Management, or a related field through an accredited college or university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
Additional Requirements
- Submit the following clearances: Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record History, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
- Onsite in-person attendance is required as directed by Supervisor or Administrator.
