Public Health Clinic Nurse

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Immunizations
• Phlebotomy
• Maternal/child health services
• Communicable disease investigations
• Outreach activities
• Assisting provider with physical exams and women's health services
• Other clinic services

Education And/or Experience

• Licensure in the state of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse required; BSN preferred
• Experience in primary care, women's health, maternal/child health, infectious diseases, and/or immunizations preferred
• Experience in population focused nursing preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to interact with various patients in a courteous, respectful, and compassionate manner
• Electronic charting experience required

Hours

• Part-time (2-3 days per week)
• Very occasional evenings and weekend hours

Pay

• $25.77 - $26.80 per hour

• Special Requirements: Must abide by all Departmental Policies as presented in the Personnel Policy Manual, any policies/procedures within the Department employed and all other duties as assigned.
• Within 6-12 months of employment must complete any of the assigned following trainings: TB 101 and Core Curriculum, INEDSSI-CARE, CD 101, CDC Communicable Disease control course, STD/HIV testing and counseling training, Lead program training, EPSDT (Well Child Exam) training, CPR/AEDASQ training, CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) training, IBCCP Cornerstone training
• Must obtain 20 hours of CEU's every 2 years to maintain Nursing licensure
• Must take courses for NIMS compliance: 100, 200, 700, & 800
