About the role

The Digital Communications Coordinator manages the university’s social media channels and is responsible for marketing the university through organic and paid strategic content development and curation. The candidate should possess communication and marketing skills including a strong understanding of social media, campaign development, writing and editing, and photography for inclusion on multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the university’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Create and publish high-quality content across various digital platforms.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and adjust strategies to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Communications and Marketing team to align social media efforts with the university’s strategic priorities.
  • Develop and execute organic and paid social media campaigns to support the university’s goals.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various social media platforms, analytics, algorithms, and emerging digital trends.
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and content creation skills for use across digital, social media, and multimedia platforms.
  • Proficiency in photography, graphic design, video, and content management tools used in digital communications and social media marketing.
  • Experience creating and publishing engaging content on social media platforms.
  • Ability to analyze engagement metrics and assess communication effectiveness to inform recommendations and improve performance outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in digital communications or marketing.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Experience with SEO and content optimization.
  • Understanding of data analysis and reporting tools like Google Analytics.
  • Ability to create compelling content for different social media platforms.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $35,880.00 - $55,997.00 per year.

Schedule

This position is full-time and works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
