Public Area/Laundry Attendant |Overnight|Full Time| The St. Anthony, A Luxury Collection Hotel

About the role

The St. Anthony Hotel is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our team. As an essential part of our operations, you will ensure every guest's experience is clean, safe, and comfortable. Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, overlooking Travis Park, the AAA Four Diamond St. Anthony Hotel is a historic luxury property blending old-world splendor with modern elegance. Responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying equipment, load, and unload laundry from machines.
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
• Monitor feeder information on washers, ensure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to your immediate supervisor.
• Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
• Clean machines and surrounding areas.
• Assist with inventory when needed.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work in a warm/humid environment.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience working in a laundry facility is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of laundry chemicals, different formulas, and their effects on various types of linen is highly preferred.

Pay

Highly competitive wages of $18/hr.
