Public Accountant

Location: Fully Remote

About the role

We are seeking both Staff Accountants and Accounting Managers to join a growing team that provides outsourced accounting services to multiple businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals with strong accrual accounting experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries using accrual accounting principles.
• Maintain general ledgers and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements for multiple client accounts.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients to gather information and answer accounting-related questions.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Public accounting, CPA firm, or outsourced bookkeeping/accounting services experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accrual basis accounting.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts and competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or other accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Pay

Staff Accountant: Up to $65,000
Accounting Manager: Up to $85,000
