Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members deliver a “Wowing the Customer” experience through personal contact.
• Train the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience to provide fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates, ensuring effective performance and excellent service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and preparing the store for daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance tasks such as taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (college experience preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and think creatively.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lb and place/remove items up to 5‑10 ft high.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate with customers face‑to‑face and by telephone, and exchange accurate information with managers and coworkers.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving merchandise from the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule—including days, evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shifts and travel.
• Interpret email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for approximately 80 % of the time.
• Be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential functions in compliance with applicable laws.

Pay

Hourly position starting at $11.50.

Schedule

Flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekend, and possible overnight shifts and travel.
