EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

• Supervision of daily living activities, ensuring the safety and security of the children and the cottages
• Providing physical care and emotional nurturing to the children
• Performing light housekeeping duties in the cottage
• Awakening children at appropriate times for bathroom use and school
• Feeding, bathing, dressing and comforting children
• Conducting and recording bed checks
• Ensuring the safety and security of the children and cottages
• Responding to emergency calls from other cottages
• Intervening when children are out of control
• Providing infant care including medically fragile children
• Performing various functions relating to the admission and/or discharge of children
• Maintaining various records of work performed
• Completing incident and other reports
• Performing other clerical support activities
• Transporting and accompanying children/families to appointments
• Scheduling/coordination of medical and other appointments
• Providing resources to families
• Accompanying children to SCAN examinations
• Picking up medical records and police reports
• Requesting from CCFS fiscal, ordering, picking up and delivering essential items
• Delivering meals to cottages on the Child Haven campus
• Computer knowledge in (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Using office equipment such as scanner, printer, copier and telephone
• Maintaining office files, electronic files, fax documents, making copies

Working Conditions

• Work shifts may include day, swing shift, and weekends (including Holidays)
