Position Assignment: PTC Simulator Technician Supervisor at Luke Air Force Base, AZ. The PTC Sim Tech Supervisor provides leadership and supervision for Pilot Simulator Technicians, including up to 24 Training Device technicians. The role requires occasional weekend on site work to perform maintenance and operations that cannot be completed during normal business hours due to training requirements. In addition to managerial duties, the incumbent is a fully qualified Sim Tech and serves as the Simulator Technician Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the PTC Sim Tech Manager in overseeing two shift operations that sustain 12 pilot training devices for 14 hours per day, plus an additional 4 hours of preventative maintenance each day.
  • Providing direct assistance with modification kit installations and Joint Program Office/Service Simulator Evaluation events.
  • Managing logistic support for the Luke AFB Full Mission Simulators, including shipping and receiving activities and the receipt of FMS spare equipment.
  • Aids in coordinating and supporting government maintenance on facility systems, and PTC trouble calls.
  • Traveling to enterprise training sites (CONUS and OCONUS) as needed to meet contracted training requirements, typically less than 25 % of the time.
  • Working a flexible schedule to align with customer operational needs.

Desired Skills
Experience with F-35 aviation simulator training operations.
Experience with military training operations.
Experience working in a classified/access-controlled facility.
Familiar with network security processes and certifications.
Network troubleshooting and maintenance experience including switches, DHCP, VLAN, VHD and associated maintenance.
Familiarity with F35 Training System architecture, implementation, and operations.
Experience as a technical manager.
