(PTA) Physical Therapist Assistant (Full-time) - The Wellness Center

Duties And Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions and movement dysfunctions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to improve mobility and function
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, fitness, and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
• Oversee the work of a physical therapy assistant
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and comply with state regulations and reporting requirements
• Communicate with workers’ compensation carriers on the patient’s progress and ability to return to work

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Physical therapist assistant license from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency
• Experience: Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an inpatient or outpatient physical therapy clinic; however, we welcome new graduates to apply
• Fulfill continuing education requirements to maintain licensure
