PT Weekend Merchandiser

About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Part-Time Merchandising position, joining our Lakewood, NJ team and servicing the Ocean County area. This role supports DSD route sales employees and branch staffing needs by performing responsibilities related to merchandising, inventory management, route service, racking placement, and resets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Clean driving record
• Courteous with customer service orientation and demonstrated listening skills
• Understands and embraces the value of safety
• Ability to professionally and safely operate a personal vehicle
• Able to understand and speak English; bi-lingual a plus

Physical Demands

• Frequently walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, balancing, and lifting and reaching using fine manipulation
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
li>Exposed to outside weather elements

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Rotating, labeling, and stocking product onto shelves and promotional displays
• Replenishing stock as needed
• Conducting inventory checks in franchise accounts using scan-based trading
• Using a hand-held computer to count and input inventory of Herr’s branded products
• Updating Zone and Branch Manager with any questions or concerns during visits
• Stocking and merchandising products in grocery retail and independent chain stores
• Managing daily accuracy of product inventory
• Executing company-sponsored promotional programs by acquiring temporary and incremental product displays, shelving, and permanent merchandising fixtures
• Performing snack resets inside retail, independent chains, and grocery stores
• Assembling, modifying, and customizing merchandising racks to meet franchise and non-franchise account sales needs
• Using creativity to resolve merchandising space challenges in franchise and non-franchise accounts

Hourly Rate: Starting at $16.83/hour depending on experience

Schedule: 8-12 hours weekly, Saturday-Sunday

Retention Bonus: Eligible for up to a $250.00 retention bonus
