PT Tech

Richardson Spine and Sport Therapy Center is looking for a Physical Therapy Technician to assist with daily patient physical therapy treatment and office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical tasks utilizing skills certified or trained by the Physical Therapist (P.T.), excluding P.T. skilled activities as defined by the state licensing agency.
• Maintain linen supply in the facility.
• Organize and clean equipment and supplies needed for treatments.
• Straighten and maintain physical order in the department.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and all other customers in-person or over the phone.
• Monitor supply inventory and report reorder needs to the Supervisor.
• Report need for equipment repairs to the Supervisor.
• Provide necessary educational services and participate in facility in-service activities.
• Ensure a safe and clean facility, including physical plant and equipment maintenance and supply inventory upkeep.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Director or Administrator of Physical Therapy and/or the Business Office Manager.
• Perform business office tasks as assigned by the Business Office Manager, including:
  • Answering phones
  • Scheduling and admitting patients
  • Authorizing insurance
  • Filing, copying, faxing
  • Assisting with co-payments

Requirements

• High School diploma required; college hours and/or healthcare training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with patients, patient family members, insurance companies, and physicians.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
• Computer experience in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred.

Pay

$15/hr.
