Responsibilities
- Aid with clinical tasks under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain linen supply in the facility.
- Clean and organize equipment and supplies used for treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and facility customers.
- Monitor supply inventory and report reorder needs to the Supervisor.
- Report equipment repair needs to the Supervisor.
- Provide necessary educational services and participate in facility in-service activities.
- Ensure a safe and clean facility through physical plant and equipment maintenance and supply inventory upkeep.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Administrator of Physical Therapy and/or the Business Office Manager.
- Assist with business office tasks such as answering phones, scheduling and admitting patients, authorizing insurance, filing, copying, faxing, and collecting co-payments.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required, with college hours preferred and/or healthcare training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with patients, their families, insurance companies, and physicians.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
- Preferred computer experience in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
