PT Tech

About the role

We are a busy orthopedic practice in Louisville, Kentucky looking to hire a PT Tech. The individual should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, a team player, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Aid the PT or PTA with patient treatments as outlined by competency checklist.
• Apply and remove Ultrasound, Electrical stimulation, moist heat, cold packs, cold laser and Vasopneumatic compression devices.
• Assist patients in getting on and off of workout equipment.
• Sanitize PT clinic equipment, modalities, and other contact surfaces.
• Utilize/learn Intergy scheduling software to assist in scheduling PT appointments.
• Help with data tracking for lost patient call logs and call patients for rescheduling as deemed necessary by the PT/PTA.
• Assist PT front desk in the filing and pulling of charts as time allows after clinical duties have been completed.
• Update temperature logs for hot pack machines.
• Maintain water levels in hydrocollators and vasopneumatic compression units.
• Clean hydrocollators and defrost ice machines as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience with physical therapy equipment and modalities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Intergy scheduling software.
