PT Student- Clinical Rotations

Essential Functions

• Affirms patient condition and establishes goals, treatments, and care plans in collaboration with the physician, patient/family.
• Ensures appropriate treatment is performed in an interdisciplinary manner, consulting with physicians about the impact of physical therapy factors on the patient's health status.
• Documents findings, treatments, and other patient information for the medical record.
• Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies/exercises.
• Serves as an information/education resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Serves as a resource to Physical Therapy staff.
• Provides ongoing education to the Physical Therapy staff.
• Assists the director with patient care issues.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
