PT Store Environment Team Member

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver brand promises.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp‑mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return items to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions as specified.
• Deep‑clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high‑traffic zones to maintain a safe environment.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform duties in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive, respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Other duties as assigned, which may include:
  • Providing a fast, friendly checkout experience and handling cash according to standards.
  • Engaging customers about rewards programs and private‑label credit cards and completing enrollments.
  • Assisting with omni‑channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup In‑Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participating in truck unloads, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
  • Supporting shrink‑prevention and safety programs.
  • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a public retail store setting that is climate‑controlled, with some stock rooms that may not be climate‑controlled and occasional outdoor tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The store contains a frame shop with glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Standard commercial cleaners and chemicals are used.

Legal Requirements

• Applicants must satisfy all federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• All team members must be at least sixteen (16) years old.

Pay

Base pay range: $13.75 – $15.90 per hour. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
