About the role

As a Part-Time Self Checkout Ambassador, you will assist customers with self-checkout transactions, ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process, and maintain a welcoming environment at the front end of the store.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist customers using self-checkout stations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Resolve transaction issues, including payment errors, item discrepancies, and technical difficulties.
• Provide friendly, prompt, and professional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the self-checkout area and surrounding front-end space.
• Assist with bagging items and managing cart flow to prevent congestion.
• Adhere to store policies and procedures, including loss prevention and cash handling guidelines.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate team.
• Support other front-end tasks as needed, such as restocking supplies or assisting at the service desk.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with technology and willingness to learn self-checkout systems.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.

Schedule

Part-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
