This role will perform all functions withing the department. Requires weekday availability (ideally M - W- Th from 8am - 4pm) and weekends in November and December. Employee ownership share allocated after 1 year of employment. Deliver & Pick Up Transfers/Orders Drive merchandise to other store locations, unloading and reloading with transferDeliver customer furniture orders according to company guidelinesOccasionally pick up supplies/orders from local storesCommunicate any problems to the Receiving Manager immediately Assist Receiving Merchandise Assist in carrying and organizing daily shipments to the receiving areaUnpack, organize, and divide product according to specificationsOffload shipping containers, delivery vehiclesMaintain a clean and organized receiving area Warehouse Assist in pulling min/max quantitiesAssist in efficiently organizing and categorizing backstock to prevent damagesStay familiar with where items are located in warehouse Prepare Store Transfers Prepare merchandise to be transferred to other store locationsPackage transfer merchandise to minimize damagesLead team in loading merchandise in transfer vehicle Deliver & Pick Up Transfers/Orders Drive merchandise to other store locations, unloading and reloading with transferDeliver customer furniture orders according to company guidelinesOccasionally pick up supplies/orders from local storesCommunicate any problems to the Receiving Manager immediately Price Merchandise Price merchandise, according to store guidelines/sampleReport damages/defects Misc. Follow all safety policies and security proceduresAssist at the stores as needed with backstocking, transfer assistance, inventory etc.Assist in special projects, maintenance, clean-up and reorganization as neededReact quickly to fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment Requirements: Attention to detail and ability to move up to 40 pounds, ability to stand for extended periods of time, bending/lifting/carrying.
