About the role

Marshalls, part of TJX Companies, is seeking a team member who will deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with all customers, embodying customer‑experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss‑prevention standards and may be cross‑trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to ensure a highly satisfied experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss‑prevention standards.
• Cross‑train in multiple store areas as needed.
• Model established customer‑experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring purchases/returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink‑reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capability to multi‑task.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capability of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Retail customer experience preferred.

Pay

Starting pay range: $13.50 to $14.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
