(PT) Instructor, Digital Literacy *Extended*

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction for Digital Literacy as directed.
• Uses effective teaching methods; able to use various teaching formats, including worksheets, and online content.
• Makes sure to monitor and submit daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in support of the program.
• Documents the progress of the students.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 3- 5 years of minimum experience working with adults.
• Experience teaching adults; experience learning subject areas.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to assist students.
• Able to provide instruction using an online platform.
• Able to follow a lesson plan.
• Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude to work with people in diverse populations.
• Able to work with all levels of the organization, internal and external groups, including students and the program team.
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate in written and oral form.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with adults.
• Experience teaching adults and learning subject areas.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Computer Basics.
• Ability to teach using an online platform and follow a lesson plan.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including internal and external groups.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.

Pay

This position is part-time and grant-funded, scheduled to end September 30, 2026, requiring up to 26 hours per week.

Schedule

This position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, and duties at any Atlantic Cape or Southern New Jersey location.
