PT Fitness Center Attendant

About the role

Southwest Virginia Community College located in Richlands, Virginia, is seeking a Fitness Center Attendant for the Southwest Fitness Center. This position will report to the Events Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fitness areas and maintain weights and cardiovascular fitness equipment to ensure areas and machines are kept clean
• Interact with and provide excellent customer service to members, guests, and prospective members at the front desk
• Greet members, answer phones, confirm membership status upon entry, and provide facility tours
• Participate in various fitness center activities if/when needed

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Willingness to work nights and weekends
• Knowledge of fitness facility operations and fitness equipment
• Use of computer and Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to work under challenging physical conditions
• Must be able to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs per OSHA standard

Pay

$15 per hour
