PT Dietary Aide

About the role

Butler Rehab & Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to join their energetic and supportive team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and dining room.

Responsibilities

• Helps prepare dining rooms and tables
• Provides meal service to residents
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas
• Delivers meals to resident rooms at designated times
• Sets up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Maintain a clean dining areas & dishes using appropriate procedures
• Discard leftovers & empty trash
• Understand and follow color coding and abbreviations of tray cards and therapeutic menus
• Assists the Cook and Dietary Manager as directed
• Stocks ingredients and monitors inventory
• Helps maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
• Attends all mandatory in-services, educational trainings and department meetings

Requirements

• Friendly with good communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents
• Ability to read
• Meet physical demands - stand, sit, walk extended lengths of time, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds
• Food service experience preferred
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines a plus
