PT Customer Service Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding friendly customer service.
• Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
• Clean check-stands daily and assist in prompt cleanup of spills and breakage.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times.
• Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned.
• Work within management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support and comply with all company safety standards.
• Communicate needed equipment repairs or maintenance.
• Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.
• Perform accurate price checks.
• Control excessive use of store supplies.
• Sweep floors during store hours and assist in cleaning break rooms and restrooms.
• Observe security standards and report abnormal behavior.
• Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and in good order.
• Sort returnable bottles (where applicable) in compliance with vendor requirements.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements of the job.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent/continuous use of hands for grasping, reaching, and hand/arm motions while standing most of the shift.
• Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Push or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Handle substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging, fresh produce, and household cleaners.
• Work in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
• Gather and push up to five shopping carts to designated areas.
• Move empty bottles and containers (where applicable) from the front end to the back room.

Preferred Requirements

• Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Bag or package merchandise according to company policies.
• Sort and return items to their normal shelf locations, prioritizing refrigerated and perishable items.
• Gather shopping carts and take them to designated areas.
• Provide carryout service in accordance with company guidelines.
• Record bottle returns accurately (where applicable) and operate bottle crushing equipment safely.

Pay

Salary range is between $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
