Position Summary

The Service Deli Clerk provides attentive customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products, including sliced meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. This role maintains product displays, ensures freshness and food safety, and keeps the deli area clean and inviting. The clerk contributes to sales by offering product knowledge, following company standards, and creating a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with deli orders, provide product information, and ensure a friendly, efficient shopping experience.
• Slice meats and cheeses, prepare deli items, stock displays, and maintain appealing product presentation.
• Follow all food safety guidelines, keep work areas clean, and properly handle, store, and label products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (experience preferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb.
• Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced retail grocery environment with frequent customer interaction.
• May involve exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., near entrance or refrigerated areas).

Pay

Salary range is between $15.00 – $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
