Responsibilities

The Service Deli Clerk provides attentive customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products, including sliced meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. This role is responsible for maintaining product displays, ensuring freshness and food safety, and keeping the deli area clean and inviting.

• Customer Service & Sales - Assist customers with deli orders, provide product information, and ensure a friendly, efficient shopping experience.
• Food Preparation & Merchandising - Slice meats and cheeses, prepare deli items, stock displays, and maintain appealing product presentation.
• Safety & Sanitation - Follow all food safety guidelines, keep work areas clean, and properly handle, store, and label products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• Oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Work Environment

Fast-paced retail grocery store. Frequent interaction with customers and team members. May involve exposure to varying temperatures (e.g., near entrance or refrigerated areas).

Pay

Salary range is between $15.00 - $18.00 Hrly
