PT Chemistry Lab Technician

Hourly pay: $14.42. Part-time position not to exceed 29 working hours per week; schedule varies term to term to meet department needs.

About the role

Monitors and coordinates the activities of and provides support and assistance to assigned chemistry laboratories to enable effective and safe lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists the full-time lab staff with preparing all materials and equipment for lab exercises.
• Maintains the organization, cleanliness, and security of the chemistry stockroom, prep areas, and adjoining labs.

Requirements

• Successful completion of 60 semester hours or an AA/AS degree.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of CHML 2211 and junior status at university majoring in chemistry (preferred).
• Good knowledge of basic chemistry lab procedures and safety protocols.
