About the role

Cashiers at Ralph Lauren are responsible for ensuring a seamless checkout experience. They process transactions with precision, secure customer information within the Point of Sale (POS) system, and maintain an immaculate cashwrap area.

Responsibilities

• Process all sales transactions efficiently (cash, credit, debit, checks)
• Validate and inspect returned merchandise, ensuring it is in saleable condition and eligible for return
• Escalate any concerns to management as needed
• Manage promotional offers and coupon redemption accurately
• Execute Ship to Home orders with precision
• Maintain customer profiles in POS system
• Accurately process merchandise (scanning, folding, bagging)
• Maintain cleanliness of cash wrap, queue line, and surrounding areas
• Support visual merchandising standards following company guidelines
• Provide feedback to management on product and category opportunities

Requirements

• Customer service and sales experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
• Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressing room, cashwrap, and office
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and climb moderately
• Ability to work flexible schedules including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel (as required)
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management, and co-workers

Qualifications

• Preferred retail experience or similar industry experience in a complex, high-volume or high-profile specialty environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
• Ability to operate the register, stand, move, and walk for multiple hours
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
