WRVA and WRNL, “Sport Radio 910 the Fan” in Richmond, Virginia has a rare opening for a Part Time Board Operator/Producer and On Air Personality. 2026 will be an unbelievable year in news, politics and sports, so come and be a part of a legendary radio station in one of America’s coolest cities. You’ll be working with an experienced Major Market management team as well as an outstanding support staff.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated starting salary range for Richmond-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $15.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr.. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

• Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs
• Produce talk shows, sporting events, and on-site broadcasts
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate on story ideas and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be detail oriented and cool under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines
• Collaborate with newsroom staff
• Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence
• Be willing to work a schedule that will include holidays, nights, overnights, and/or weekends
• Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations
• Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years previous experience preferred
• Familiarity with station format required
• Must be able to perform with little supervision
• Familiarity with FCC rules and regulations preferred
• High school diploma required; college degree in media-related major preferred
