PT Barista- Hilton Denver City Center

About the role

As a Barista at Hilton Denver City Center, you are the foundation of the café. You will honor each and every customer by providing excellent customer service and a high-quality product. This role is ideal for a true professional who displays a positive attitude at all times, ensuring the return of our customers who are the reason for our business.

Hilton Denver City Center is located in the heart of downtown Denver, just a half-mile from the Colorado Convention Center, Larimer Square, Coors Field, and the Denver Performing Arts Complex. A block away is 16th Street, a popular stretch for dining, nightlife, and shopping. You’ll work at Prospect’s Urban Kitchen and Bar, our on-site restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Develop enthusiastically satisfied customers at all times.
• Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers.
• Maintain quality store operations.
• Contribute to store profitability.
• Take responsibility to learn all aspects of the barista position.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to hear timers and coordinate with other baristas.
• Must be able to check food quality and read production charts/recipes.
• Ability to interact with guests in a positive, hospitable manner.
• Must be able to use the cash register and collect money with accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Regularly involves lifting product cases weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing and pulling carts is required.
• Regular bending to lift items and supplies; no kneeling.
• Mobility: regularly moves all around the coffee shop.
• Continuous standing throughout the entire shift.

Environment

This is a physically strenuous role involving prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying in an indoor environment.

Pay

USD $19.29 per hour.
