About the role
The Baker is responsible for preparing and showcasing a variety of baked goods in a high-volume grocery store bakery. Focused on creating both classic and innovative products for customer enjoyment, while maintaining consistency, quality, and excellent presentation. Demonstrates expertise in baking recipe execution, and decoration, ensuring all items meet customer preferences and store standards. Works closely with the bakery team to manage production schedules, ensure fresh daily inventory, and uphold strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Passionate about delivering a top-tier customer experience through high-quality, visually appealing, and delicious baked goods.

Prepare a wide range of baked goods including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and seasonal or specialty items.
Follow standardized recipes and store guidelines to ensure consistent quality, texture, and taste.
Adjust baking processes and recipes as needed to meet customer demand and seasonal offerings.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in bake-off, retail, or food service/prep management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must meet minimum age requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a valid driver's license if required for transportation to/from work
Skills
- Strong baking and decorating skills

Pay
Salary range is between $17.00 - $20.00/hr
Schedule
Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
