PT Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
About the Role
The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in managing, executing, and leading all administrative and athletic functions of a competitive collegiate sports program. This role is responsible for setting and maintaining team rules and expectations, coaching and developing student-athletes, and driving recruiting efforts from initial outreach through campus visits. Additionally, the Assistant Coach coordinates team travel logistics, conducts film analysis and opponent scouting, and manages program-specific content creation to enhance alumni engagement and promote both the team and Denison University.

Responsibilities
- Assists Head Coach with practice and game planning.
- Develops training sessions for Denison athletes and provides athletes with feedback and direction.
- Develops strategy for future opponents and analyzes film to create scouting reports.
- Recruits prospective student-athletes, communicates via email, phone, and in-person at recruiting events.
- Arranges travel plans and itineraries for the team, including hotel reservations, meals, equipment, and practice schedules.
- Updates and maintains social media content, posting stories and videos to ensure a strong interactive presence for the sport.
- Monitors student-athletes’ academic progress.
- Reinforces team and University rules and expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
