PT Adaptive Aquatics Instructor Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist lead instructors in providing adaptive swim instruction and in-water support for participants with disabilities.
• Help implement specialized, inclusive group programs and support participants in meeting lesson goals.
• Adapt teaching approaches to participants age, experience, and ability, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
• Communicate regularly with lead instructors regarding participant progress and behavior.
• Assist with equipment set-up, breakdown, and other program support tasks.
• Respond effectively to emergencies in accordance with facility protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals in progressive level group swim lessons or with participants with disabilities preferred., particularly in aquatics or recreation settings.
• The ideal candidate demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with lead instructors, participants, and families.
