Psychotherapist- Spirit Lake, IA

About the role

Plains Area Mental Health, Inc. is seeking a full-time Psychotherapist to join their team in Carroll, Denison, and Storm Lake locations. The position is hybrid with in-person and up to two remote telehealth days, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week with full benefits.

Responsibilities

- Assess children and adults through diagnostic interviews and determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans. - Provide consultation on a case, program, or community basis. - Perform psychotherapy and brief counseling for children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. - Offer emergency services and interventions as necessary. - Regularly review and consult with the team for consistent communication and treatment planning. - Work with internal Case Managers on referrals to Psychiatric, Community Support, Habilitation, Peer Support, and other relevant programs. - Complete documentation according to the Center's submission standards. - Participate in a required periodic on-call rotation with on-call pay above base salary.

Requirements

- Hold an MA/MS/MSW degree from an accredited program. - Possess an LMHC, LISW, LMFT license or temporary licensure (tLMHC, tLMFT, LMSW). - Have a valid driver's license and insurance.

Pay

- Temporary Licensed: $50,000 to $70,000 base salary (depending on experience), with a $5,000 increase for obtaining full licensure. - Fully Licensed: $60,000 to $80,000 base salary (depending on experience).
