About the role

The Psychometrist position assists fully-licensed neuropsychologists on the medical staff in providing neuropsychological assessments for children with learning, behavioral, and emotional disorders. They help organize neuropsychological test materials and assist in writing test reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assists fully-licensed neuropsychologists in providing neuropsychological assessments for children with neurological, learning, behavioral, and emotional disorders.
  • Aids in preparing test materials and setting up testing rooms before appointments.
  • Collects histories from children's families, when necessary.
  • Performs neuropsychological testing under the supervision of licensed staff neuropsychologists.
  • Scores tests and records scores on Test Summary forms.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels of testing materials and organizes testing materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Current enrollment or matriculation in an accredited master's or doctoral program or completion of doctoral program and currently obtaining hours towards full licensure.
  • Minimum Work Experience: 0 years of experience required.
  • Required Skills/Knowledge: 1 year of experience as a Psychometrist (preferred); familiarity and training with assessment of children; functional accountabilities.
