Support the development and execution of studies focused on neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases within the inaugural Division of Brain and Cognitive Health Technology. This division conducts cutting-edge research on technologies and methodologies for cognitive monitoring, neuropsychological assessment, and risk prediction in neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conducts and scores neuropsychological assessments in compliance with study protocols.
- Conducts participant interviews using standardized techniques to ensure accurate data collection.
- Reviews and audits data for accuracy; follows up with participants as needed to resolve discrepancies.
- Works with the statistical team to perform analyses.
- Conducts literature reviews to support research activities and manuscript development.
- Manages research databases using Excel and other statistical or data management programs.
- Organizes and prepares grant-related documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
- May write reports to present at meetings.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn phlebotomy techniques necessary to fulfill project needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- May require off-campus site visits.
- Proficiently performs job functions in both English and Spanish or Albanian based on department need.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is required; coursework in Psychology preferred.
- Major in Neuroscience is preferred.
- Experience working in a Neuroscience Laboratory preferred.
- Experience with software programs such as Excel, SPSS, and MATLAB preferred.
- Experience working with children preferred.
Skills
- Proficient ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish or Albanian, both verbally and in writing, with study participants is required.
- Excellent organizational, oral, written, and analytical communication skills.
- Strong database management and clear understanding of clinical and research databases.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
Pay
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this position are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.
- Hiring Rate: USD $30.79/Hr.
- Post Probationary Rate: USD $31.32/Hr.
- Job Rate: USD $32.62/Hr.
