About the role

The position of School Psychologist at Killingly Public Schools is designed to provide psychological services to students, staff, and families to promote academic success, social-emotional well-being, and positive school climate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students and their families
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to implement evidence-based interventions
  • Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and supportive school environment
  • Participate in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making

Requirements

  • Master's degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Connecticut
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of child development and mental health issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and community partners

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for education and a commitment to equity and inclusion
