About the role
The position of School Psychologist at Killingly Public Schools is designed to provide psychological services to students, staff, and families to promote academic success, social-emotional well-being, and positive school climate.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students and their families
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to implement evidence-based interventions
- Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff
- Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and supportive school environment
- Participate in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making
Requirements
- Master's degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Connecticut
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Knowledge of child development and mental health issues
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and community partners
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
