About the Role
Provides comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for adult and/or child members with diverse psychiatric needs. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and oversee personalized treatment plans, including outpatient psychotherapy, psychoeducational groups, and specialized therapeutic procedures. Conducts psychological assessments, interprets testing, and maintains confidential records in compliance with regulations. Works closely with physicians on medication evaluation and facilitates access to community resources. May supervise trainees and support family members to enhance treatment adherence and acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical treatment programs for mental health conditions.
- Provides individual, family, and group psychotherapy, including psychoeducational sessions.
- Performs psychological assessments, test administration, and interpretation.
- Collaborates with physicians for psychotropic medication evaluation.
- Utilizes community resources for comprehensive patient care and referrals.
- Provides clinical supervision to interns and trainees, if qualified.
- Supports family members and ensures treatment adherence.
- Participates in departmental program development and safety reporting.
Qualifications
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Psychologist (California or other states) and NPI registration required.
- Knowledge of DSM-V, evidence-based practices, and psychological testing techniques.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating diverse psychiatric conditions.
