Psychologist - Full-Time Hybrid

About the role

This role involves delivering comprehensive ambulatory behavioral health services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, case management, and psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments using DSM criteria.
• Provide evidence-based therapies such as cognitive, behavioral, and supportive therapy.
• Manage crisis situations by coordinating urgent care referrals and hospital admissions.
• Develop and lead therapeutic groups.
• Research diagnosis-specific interventions.
• Educate and empower patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support clinical decisions.
• Maintain detailed clinical records.
• Arrange psychological testing.
• Participate in quality assurance activities.
• Provide supervision and mentorship of residents and interns.
• Provide after-hours crisis assessments where permitted.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA-approved or accredited program.
• A valid Hawaii psychologist license.
• A National Provider Identifier.

Qualifications

• Experience in evidence-based individual and group therapy.
• Experience conducting assessments using DSM.
• Familiarity with psychiatric medications.
• Strong skills in change management, conflict resolution, and effective communication.

• Experience with documentation standards.
• Experience with primary care behavioral health services.
• Experience with addiction treatment.
• Experience with emergency department consultation.
