Psychologist - Full-Time Hybrid

This role involves delivering comprehensive ambulatory behavioral health services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, case management, and psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups. The clinician conducts assessments using DSM criteria, provides evidence-based therapies such as cognitive, behavioral, and supportive therapy, and manages crisis situations by coordinating urgent care referrals and hospital admissions. Key responsibilities include developing and leading therapeutic groups, researching diagnosis-specific interventions, educating and empowering patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support clinical decisions. The position requires maintaining detailed clinical records, arranging psychological testing, and participating in quality assurance activities. Supervision and mentorship of residents and interns are also part of the role, along with providing after-hours crisis assessments where permitted. Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA-approved or accredited program, a valid Hawaii psychologist license, and a National Provider Identifier are mandatory. The candidate must have experience in evidence-based individual and group therapy, assessments using DSM, and familiarity with psychiatric medications. Strong skills in change management, conflict resolution, and effective communication are essential. Preferred Skills: Experience with documentation standards, primary care behavioral health services, addiction treatment, and emergency department consultation is advantageous.
