Psychologist - Clinical Child Psychologist
OCHSNER CHILDREN'S HEALTH CENTER is seeking a Board-Certified Child/Adolescent Psychologist to practice in Meridian, MS.
About the Role
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA approved University; be licensed or eligible for licensure in Mississippi; and have experience working with children and adolescents. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have experience and interest providing psychological testing.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy and psychological testing to children and adolescents.
- Work with families within an integrated pediatric medical center.
- Consult and support pediatric medical providers within the Department of Psychiatry and Pediatrics.
- Recommend appropriate follow-up services and help families navigate how to access additional services as indicated, including keeping abreast of pediatric mental and behavioral health services at Ochsner to facilitate referrals effectively.
- Participate in monthly section and department meetings.
- May participate in intern/fellow training.
Requirements
Special consideration will be given to applicants who have experience and interest providing psychological testing.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA approved University.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Mississippi.
- Experience working with children and adolescents.
Skills
Robust clinical skills, ability to work in a collaborative manner with other health professionals, and program development experience.
