About the Role
Far Northern Regional Center is seeking a Licensed Psychologist who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health challenges. This full-time position is available in either Redding or Chico, CA.
Far Northern Regional Center offers a wide variety of services for eligible individuals and their families, including Early Intervention, Behavior Intervention, Adult Day Activities, Respite Care, and other supports for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities
- Administration and interpretation of psychological tests and assessment instruments to evaluate developmental status, intelligence, motor and language skills, perceptual/sensory capabilities, memory, abstract thinking, and related characteristics.
- Preparation of psychological reports; consultation in interdisciplinary and eligibility review processes as directed.
- Conduct court-ordered psychological evaluations and provide expert testimony.
- Provide crisis intervention support in collaboration with county mental health agencies.
- Monitor psychotherapeutic services and ensure quality care for clients.
- Consult with case management, clinical teams, and community partners.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to plan and evaluate services.
- Train and mentor staff and community service providers.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Psychology and active California Psychologist License.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience conducting psychological evaluations and assessments, including competency evaluations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training and/or experience in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Pay
$103,000–$120,000
