About the role
Relevium Pain Specialists is a leading, scaling pain management practice with multiple locations in Nevada. We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and skilled Mental Health Professional (LCPC, LCSW, MFT) to join our growing team. The Mental Health Professional provides behavioral health services that support and enhance interventional pain treatment within our multidisciplinary pain management clinic. This role focuses on evaluating psychological contributors to pain, delivering evidence-based therapies, supporting coping and functional improvement, and collaborating closely with physicians, APPs, and care teams. The clinician will help patients manage chronic pain through behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and supportive mental health interventions.
Responsibilities
- Administers psychological tests and determines results.
- Provides therapy through individual sessions (generally 45-60 minute sessions).
- Develops treatment plans.
- Works with law enforcement officials and acts as an expert in various legal cases, assesses competency, works with witnesses, and performs psychological evaluations (forensic).
- Works to prevent, diagnose, and treat mental disorders, collaborating with physicians to determine the best course of treatment for patients (clinical).
- Fosters positive mental health and personal growth through individual interactions.
Requirements
- Active Nevada State licensure as LCPC, LCSW, or MFT.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy.
- Experience working with chronic pain populations, trauma, behavioral health conditions, or complex medical patients.
- Knowledge of psychological theory and practice, HIPAA, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Superior communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to empathize with a wide range of people.
- Spanish-speaking is a plus.
