About the role
Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, therapy, expert testimony, and consultation.
- Train others and potentially supervise students.
- Complete all components of psychological assessment.
- Serve as an expert examiner.
- Participate in consultation and training with individuals, families, agency staff, and community partners.
Requirements
- A Doctorate in Psychology and Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
- If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider filling as a Psychology Resident with a Doctorate degree in Psychology and eligibility for a supervised psychological residency as determined by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
- A valid driver’s license (or reliable transportation).
- Completion of a defensive driving course during orientation.
Qualifications
- Experience in completing all components of psychological assessment.
- Ability to serve as an expert examiner.
- Willingness to participate in consultation and training.
- Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
- Doctorate in Psychology.
Skills
- Comfort with psychological assessment.
- Expertise in therapy and consultation.
- Ability to train and supervise others.
- Knowledge of North Dakota laws and regulations regarding psychology.
