About the role

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessments, therapy, expert testimony, and consultation.
  • Train others and potentially supervise students.
  • Complete all components of psychological assessment.
  • Serve as an expert examiner.
  • Participate in consultation and training with individuals, families, agency staff, and community partners.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate in Psychology and Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider filling as a Psychology Resident with a Doctorate degree in Psychology and eligibility for a supervised psychological residency as determined by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • A valid driver’s license (or reliable transportation).
  • Completion of a defensive driving course during orientation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in completing all components of psychological assessment.
  • Ability to serve as an expert examiner.
  • Willingness to participate in consultation and training.
  • Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • Doctorate in Psychology.

Skills

  • Comfort with psychological assessment.
  • Expertise in therapy and consultation.
  • Ability to train and supervise others.
  • Knowledge of North Dakota laws and regulations regarding psychology.
