About The Position
California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is currently hiring Psychologists to join our dedicated mental health teams. As a Psychologist with CCHCS, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health services to individuals in our care. Your responsibilities will include conducting screenings, evaluating incarcerated persons, crisis intervention, individual therapy, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to program evaluation and research.
Work Locations
Wide Variety of Geographic Settings including the Northern California Coast, San Francisco Bay Area, California Capitol, and Southern California. Immediately hiring at the following facilities: CHCF (Stockton), CCI (Tehachapi), HDSP (Susanville), MCSP (Ione), SAC (Sacramento), SATF (Corcoran).
Bonus Programs
Restructured Recruitment and Retention Bonus: 1% bonus for the first 7 years, increasing by 1% year over year, maxing at a 7% bonus by year 7.
Recruitment and Retention Bonus for clinicians newly hired with the State of CA: Up to $30,000 within the first 12 months of service.
Referral Bonus: All CDCR/CCHCS employees that refer a mental health clinician who is successfully hired by CCHCS may be eligible to receive a referral bonus of $5,000 per appointed referral.
