About the role
Mental health clinician providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for adult and child members with diverse mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs, including outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Provide patient and family education on treatment adherence and medication management.
- Conduct psychological assessments, document treatment progress, and maintain confidential records.
- Collaborate with physicians on medication evaluation and utilize community resources for comprehensive care.
- Provide consultation to healthcare providers and supervise interns, residents, or trainees as applicable.
- Support members' families and coordinate external referrals when needed.
- Participate in program development and safety reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- PhD, PsyD, or EdD in Clinical, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Psychologist (California or any state) with required licensure within six months.
- Experience with DSM-V, psychological testing, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, bio-psycho-social factors, and confidentiality standards.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills; professional maturity and ethical integrity.
- Familiarity with social service agencies, regulations, and APA standards.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and provide supervision if qualified.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in crisis intervention and psychological evaluations.
- Proficiency in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
