About the role

Mental health clinician providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention for adult and child members with diverse mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs, including outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Provide patient and family education on treatment adherence and medication management.
  • Conduct psychological assessments, document treatment progress, and maintain confidential records.
  • Collaborate with physicians on medication evaluation and utilize community resources for comprehensive care.
  • Provide consultation to healthcare providers and supervise interns, residents, or trainees as applicable.
  • Support members' families and coordinate external referrals when needed.
  • Participate in program development and safety reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • PhD, PsyD, or EdD in Clinical, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Psychologist (California or any state) with required licensure within six months.
  • Experience with DSM-V, psychological testing, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices, bio-psycho-social factors, and confidentiality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills; professional maturity and ethical integrity.
  • Familiarity with social service agencies, regulations, and APA standards.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and provide supervision if qualified.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in crisis intervention and psychological evaluations.
  • Proficiency in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
